Helmed by Top Chef All-Stars winner, Richard Blais, Juniper & Ivy was the most highly anticipated restaurant opening in downtown San Diego. This unpretentious restaurant touts airy space, modern warehouse design, and an adventurous seasonal menu ideal for a group of friends or family. You MUST try their buttermilk biscuits, which are almost the size of your fist! They top them with a delicious pat of smoked butter. You can thank us later.

Rise and dine! Opening this month, Harbor Breakfast fills a void of bonafide delicious breakfast spots in Little Italy. The menu will feature all of your breakfast faves, like waffles, steak and eggs, breakfast pastries, and pancakes. Best part?  Nearly 100 percent of the menu includes organic and locally sourced ingredients from California, including veggies, grass-fed beef and California wild rice. We’re especially looking forward to their organic almond milk and fresh-squeezed mimosas.

A visit to Little Italy wouldn’t be complete without enjoying a glass(es) of wine. This cool, starkly white, modern space showcases sleek Italian furniture, airline-themed décor and a collection of 75 wines (25 which are available by the glass). Their lengthy wine list features rare wine varietals from wine regions around the globe, and a great small plates menu. No need for a cab, this awesome wine bar is a short walk back to the hotel. We can toast to that!
