Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Get your tickets early for this holiday favorite at the Old Globe Theatre, back for its 21st year! This year’s performances run from November 3 – December 29, with a special performance for autistic children on December 1. You’ll love the classic family favorite songs such as “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.”  Enjoy every second of holiday magic in the transformed Globe Theatre, complete with a snow-covered Whoville.

Little Italy Tree Lighting & Christmas Village

This time-honored Little Italy tradition is our favorite way to ring in the holiday season. Bring the whole family down for the 20th Annual Little Italy Tree Lighting and Christmas Village on Saturday, December 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Experience all the Christmas magic and fun, complete with a visit from Santa! Balboa Park December Nights

Did you know that December Nights is the largest FREE EVENT in all of San Diego? With over 360,000 attendees in 2017, this tradition is ever-growing and now ranks #5 in the USA Today Reader’s Poll of Best Holiday Festivals in the U.S. The 41st annual free holiday festival kicks off on December 7 and goes through December 8. The Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

The theme of the 47th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is Tropical Island Christmas, a fitting one for America’s Finest City. The San Diego boating community continues this long-standing tradition during the evenings of December 9 and 16 this year. As always, this bright holiday spectacle promises to dazzle and entertain bayfront crowds.

Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade

Do not miss America’s Largest Balloon Parade, with FREE street side viewing! This family-friendly event takes place on December 31, 2018 at 10 a.m., and features marching bands, floats, drill teams, and of course enormous balloons that will enchant the 100,000+ street-side spectators. This nationally-televised event is so much fun, and just blocks away from our Little Italy hotel. This is a MUST if you’re in San Diego this December. Holiday Bowl

America’s Finest Bowl Experience is back this year on New Year’s Eve at SDCCU Stadium. Make big time football in San Diego your holiday tradition! The big game kicks-off on Monday, December 31 at 4:00 p.m. Teams haven’t been announced yet, but stay-tuned here for more news, pre-game party info., and tickets:
